Methnerd

Yeah:

"Ghost in the Shell" (1995)
"Neon Genesi Evangelion"+"End of Evangelion"
"Serial Experiments Lain"
"Texhnolyze"
"Angel's Egg"
"Paranoia Agent"

all affected me immensely and made me think about a lot of things.

Pretty much a pleb when it comes to anime, but those top three are among my favorites that I've seen. I just finished watching Steins;Gate and am in the mood for another thought-provoking roller coaster ride, so will check out the last three you listed.

I hope you do not imply Psycho-pass changed you or made you see nivarna. Anyway, Ping Pong the animation.

Something about Makishima's worldview really affected me. Do I really follow my will? Do I even have one? He really resonated as a christ-figure, his willingness to die so as to impart understanding and change in Kogami/the world seems so admirable...I don't think I have ever believed in anything by comparison.

It was definitely the most intellectual animu I've encountered.

@Spamalot
I'd go gay for Shogo in a heartbeat.

Ippo and other sports anime inspired me to get /fit/. Besides that not really any specific anime, but I'd say anime as a whole changed me a bit

@VisualMaster
Not really. I don't think any piece of art has done that. It might have influenced my views on the medium, art or my aesthetic preferences specifically but not on anything more fundamental than that.

No, that'd be ridiculous.

I read Catcher in the Rye and it was like, soooo deep, it really spoke to me

And that'd STILL be more impressive and mature than any post in this thread.

Some anime aren't just edgy to please your childish desires for enjoyment.

I'm guessing you're the cringeworthy retard who was referencing Psycho Pass in this thread.

The only appropriate response to that is LMOA

I feel that Jojo's Bizarre Adventure changed me for the better. At first it was only slight changes, such as styling my hair differently and expressing what I say with more exaggerated emotion, however, as time went on I began acting even more differently my fashion choices changed and I began wearing more colourful and elaborate clothing which made me stand out from the norm. I became more muscular and my cheekbones became more defined. I began to wear lipstick and eyeliner. I began to pose more frequently, especially in scenarios which didn't call for it.
People questioned me on why I was acting differently but I'd just respond with 'Yare yare daze'. They didn't understand. How could they understand? Before I knew it, I'd become one with Araki's masterpiece. I changed my first and last names to begin with 'Jo' and I am currently working on learning the ways of hamon and summoning my stand.

Eva and NHK made me accept reality and that I'm a loser.
Life sucks and I will never be happy but that's fine.

@Nojokur
Kill yourself.
Quoting famous novels and asking dumb questions doesn't make a show intellectual.
