I miss Mahouka threads
fuck that shit series
You sound ruffled, user.
Now I feel like reading some miyuki doujins again
I miss when Mahouka didn't die out like all other LN garbage, oh wait it did.
They should have had him shoot his sister.
Nah, i aint gonna go for it
He's war criminal for magic nuking china.
Should be hanged.
I need that c88 Maya doujin.
Am I asking too much?
What episode was the "I'm the best, just the best" line again?
GO AHEAD AND TELL EVERYBODY
I'M THE MAN
I'M THE MAN
I'M THE MAN
Cuts off his arm
But spares his life
Nuking is not war crime after WW3.
You got memed.
SC Pres was about the only interesting about it aside from those 2 episodes of capture the flag magical Olympics.
shooting him doesn't work
I know, I'll charge him with a knife
Using magic to create an explosion isn't illegal. The creation of radiation is the illegal part.
Neither is blowing people up from their insides and using blocks to crush them. It's like his nuke was the only controversial action.
I miss the rage generated by Mahouka episodes. I mean, remember when we spent a whole 2 threads defending this?
Or people defending Tatsuya being an underdog and poor him, he was so nerfed magically can't use his top classified skills that he used anyway.
dae le frodo meme xd
All considered, those are pretty humane ways to die if its fast enough.
that fucking cut to the ending song
I can't stop laughing.
How did people defend it, anyway? Blocking bullets like that should be impossible.
Whats wrong with that?
Nah bruh. I've been waiting.
I remember when this scene was put forward as Proof of Tatsuya's vulnerability.
Where's the one with Onee-sama true form?
Maybe he thinks it's like his JRPGs.
piercing projectile damage doesn't work so I'll switch to slashing melee damage
You know, I think he would have been able to stop the whole magic if he just stopped throwing his CAD in the air or flipping around like an acrobat and just focused on shooting.
x should be impossible
show about wizards
he is the most OP wizard of all
He can decompose any shit to dust and his special sensory ability lets him even decompose a far away country.
You can't really justify he isn't OP just for the sake of being OP and being the coolest and best at everything.
I was hoping he would get injured just so his annoying imouto can shit her pants. Then he revives like a salamander like nothing happened.
I don't understand how people interpreted this as Tatsuya being an underdog. The point of him being an irregular or underachiever at the magic school was to create a scenario where the established system was stifling true genius.
The entire story is about how Tatsuya is actually this super amazing genius god in human form, yet the retarded bureaucracy and society he lives in shackles him into a mediocre position.
It's very Ayn Randian, in how it portrays the absolute benevolence and grace of Tatsuya the Ubermensch in stooping to play by the rules of a society which only hampers him, solely for the sake of his sister.
Best fap I've had in a while.
I remember laughing myself into a choking fit when Onii-sama literally ascended from the Heavens to raise the dead and then flying off into the horizon to defend Nippon against the Evil Chinese.
That part was great. I also lost it when he literally started telling the paramedics how to do their job.
Remember this map?
Or him pimping out his sister to dance with the guy who pretty much killed him 2 days ago had he not revived like Jesus. Tatsuya has the humbleness of Jesus not just the resurection abilities too. What a guy.
Federal Republic of Soviets, top keks.
western europe is east eu
eastern europe is west eu
gets me every time
That was an actual fucking LINE?
I can use magic but I can use magic
ridiculous piece of shit anime
To me it came across as the writer trying to do a shitty generic shounen where the underdog overcomes all odds and becomes the king shit of the fuck mountain, and completely fucking even that easy formula up out of sheer incompetence as a storyteller.
TL;DR version for niggers: story is about how society is stupid and wrong for not understanding Tatsuya's genius and holding him back with their lame ass rules.
japan and brazil are the only countries mentioned by name
And that his aunt actually loves him and wants to fuck him just like everyone in his harem even though he's only average looking and can' get sexually excited enough to lust/get it up who knows.
But that's not it at all. In a generic shounen, the protagonist is always a rookie who works his way up. Even if he has amazing innate power/talent he has to work hard to become the best at ____.
In Mahouka, Tatsuya is already the best. He's a genius, a walking weapon of mass destruction, a famous engineer who has to work in secret. He possesses incredibly high tier magical abilities that make him a living god basically. The only thing he lacks is proper status and recognition for these things.
That's the story.
Ha let's put federal in front of everything, makes it sound more official...does it hold up against this?
To me it was a SoL about a cute brocon imouto doing cute brocon imouto things with her onii-chan at a magic school.
I still love that page early in the manga with the chick standing with hands behind her back, in the most vulnerable position possible, and the other chick with a sword going "No good! I can't see any openings!" Talk about not knowing how to draw a fight scene.
huh. It never clicked that Hufman was basically the Galapagos
Really? I thought it was some random made-up island where people re-enact their favorite moments in Robot-jocks
Miyuki a shit
The fight scenes are as bad as the romance.
This was such a bad fucking anime. And it was bad purely because of the writing.
For like the first half I was waiting for the other shoe to drop because I thought it couldn't possibly continue to go the direction it was headed, but at some point I realized the huge twist I was waiting for would never come and it really was a story about an insufferable bunch of unlikable shitcunts that just are randomly better than everyone.
I have to go now, my planet needs me
Tatsuya and Miyuki are both really unlikable and there's nothing the story adds that makes you give a shit about them.
It fits when you compare their location on the map. Right now it's just a volcano chain. I guess they eat all the turtles and terraform it in the future.
Tatsuya v Juumongus' rippling muscles, that was hilarious.
I have to admit I liked first few episodes. I thought he would get gradually in magic. But it went full retard and turned into magic rambo
Erika please refill
mfw Erika will never dress up as a made and serve you some smocking hot juice.
Why the fuck am I living?
In an interview, Satou said that Mayumi will have happy ending, with her current situation, IMO only the end with Mc could beconsidered a happy ending. in vol 17 he dropped the bomb that Tatsuya find Mayumi actractive plus Tatsuya himself admit with Kyouko that it's impossible for him to see Miyuki more than a sister. isn't it a foreshadowing ?
It was so fabulously gay.
fucking auto grammar check!!!!
his pose at the beginning of the ED
Every single time
It could work if somehow, Miyuki is finally cured of her BroCon and decides to marry someone else. I think it's already rock-solid canon that they are blood siblings so other than the incest route, a happy ending only works if she meets someone her onii-chan approves of since Tats won't be making a move anytime soon.
Miyuki getting NTRd when?
guess so...why the hell was that tiny island was so strategic again? did the OCU camp out there thinking the USN wouldn't mind?
I dropped Mahouka at episode 2, was it a mistake?
Fucked if I remember. I vaguely remember playing FM5 english mod years ago and in the story it was strategic as an operations base to launch a full assault hence why it was fought over.
Romance with Mayumi would seem tacked on just for the hell of it. Tatsuya isn't like other people. He wouldn't just have that sort of relationship with someone unless there was a purpose.
Depends on your bullshit threshold and level of autism. It is definitely not the best anime series out there and it has countless flaws. But if you're willing to stop caring about things like character balance and story progression, you almost always find something unbelievably OP or ludicrous enough to make you want to see the next episode. I enjoyed it immensely. It was fucking hilarious to watch.
It's the best unintentional comedy I've seen in the past 5 years.
As long as you think of it more as a comedy it's enjoyable
Definitely. It's a fun story if you don't take it seriously.
It's boring as fuck 5 episodes in though.
Pretty sure both Tatsuya and Maya wouldn't object to Ichijou if she ever gave him a chance.
rewatching the first ep after sitting through the whole series while it was airing
actually understand why Miyuki is so butthurt about Tatsuya being relegated to the B-string
find it hilarious how he just tolerates all this bullying and shit talking when he could vaporize them all instantly if he wanted
The Galapagos has a metric ton of volcanoes, Cerro Azul being one of the most active there. They're also above an actively moving plate, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say a few of them went off, creating additional landmass.
Man I would kill for an adaption/remake of FM3...the shenanigans of Kazuki and Ryogo are fucking legendary
Purposes of procreation obviously. He can fuck his sister because no matter what he still sees her as a sister. And Mayumi is sexy and can probably turn him on enough to have sex. The problem is more Miyuki castrating him first.
Is this real? I didn't finish this show
Nah, the subs were changed, but it fits the scene perfectly.
Only difference between onii-sama and the nigga from Grisaia is that the latter gets his dick wet
Sheeky Forums loves Kazami Yuuji but hates onii-sama claiming he's a self insert gary stue when in reality they just want to self insert into someone who
gets the one thing they never will
Fuck you fags
wow I royally fucked that up
Yuuji is way funnier than Onii-sama is. He has a great sarcastic personality on him. Tatsuya isn't exactly humorless but he's very dry most of the time.
That said I don't really hate Tatsuya. I wasn't a fan at first but he grew on me.
Yeah, I miss the whole turn-based strategy missions of FM3, 4 & 5.
If it's any consolation, I heard they're making another FM game. I would hope it will be turn-based rather than the travesty that was FME.
Yuuji is a self insert character
Onii-sama is god
You can relate to only one of them
Yuuji is pretty easy to insert into until he starts being funny. Then you're aware it's actually a pretty weird guy telling the story.
base trade happened.
FM 4 felt kinda watered down compared to 3, but i heard 5 was pretty decent.
If it goes the way of recent turned based games outta Japan, it'd probably end up on the vita or worse....mobile....p2w...and outsourced to some random no-name company for the trifecta
Only difference between onii-sama and the nigga from Grisaia is that the latter gets his dick wet
Tats got the busty spy pregnant.
I feel like this image perfectly sums up the series in some ways.
Is the writer of this shit male or female?
Yeah via immaculate conception. Tats is still a virgin.
@Garbage Can Lid
via immaculate conception
he is THAT good.
He's not Jesus Onii-sama for nothing.
@Garbage Can Lid
Is he? He doesn't really act it. He comments on sex more than any of the other guys.
right but Sheeky Forums doesn't want to be good they want to be 12 y/o assassins/spies who fuck their milf senseis on the reg
He has super perception that lets him detect with perfect precision the presence and movements of all life forms in a huge radius around him. He is constantly seeing and hearing people have sex. He's used to it.
58-year-old male with science background
That explains why Tatsuya acts like a middle aged engineer and not a high schooler.
No wonder, STEMfags all have some degree of autism.
tatsuya trolling the student council during their first meeting
And people say he doesn't have a sense of humor.
A lot of different mechanics were introduced in FM4 that eventually make their way into FM5, only more balanced. The storyline in FM4 felt less epic than the one in FM5 and FM3 but it was still OK if only for the improvement seen in the platform upgrade from PS1 to PS2.
I wouldn't mind if it was ported to the Vita rather than a full PS4 title - just as long as the turn-based strategy aspect of it was chosen rather than the FPS clusterfuck of FME. Even better if they also allow online matches or pair-ups.
Did you ever see FMO? That shit looked good... in paper. In practice, I'm told it sucked ass.
Please tell me this is real
Still acts too smooth to be a virgin.
He's experienced sex vicariously via his omniscience.
Mahouka (look at pic)
So is there any ironic, satirical thought behind shit like Onii-sama and Kirito's OP-ness? Like, did the creator of Mahouka and the creator of SAO and similar works make LNs about untouchable badass teenagers as a means of poking fun at the wishes of young otaku? Surely the ideas behind these wish-fulfillment, self-insert LNs are rooted in the belief of exploiting young Japanese who lack self-awareness, solely for the authors' economic benefits. There's no way authors are sincerely writing stories like these, believing them to be legitimately good works of art.
I can't get over the fact that Oreki and Chitanda are in Mahouka and not eyeing each other
Not that guy, but I think it's just a paradigm shift in the shounen battle genre. Up until recently, most shounen battle series have been about underdogs overcoming their faults and gaining ridiculous power, but it seems now we have a number of series (oddly, LNs instead of manga these days) about guys who are already strong as fuck and just fuck bitches instead of fighting for their lives. I think it may have something to do with the laziness of people these days, or kids these days, or something about the asexuality of the Japanese, or some other ideological phenomenon
I jerk off to the music from that scene regularly
What you're describing isn't battle shounen, it's power fantasy. Hyper-competent protagonists aren't a new thing. James Bond is my go-to example of a power fantasy with a hyper-competent protagonist. Nobody would like a James Bond movie if Bond wasn't a suave motherfucker who took out bad guys left and right and looked good doing it.
I really, really don't think the guy knew what the fuck he was doing. I don't know if he has written other manga before, but this reeked of somebody who has read some manga attempting to write one for the first time and just cocking it up royally out of inexperience.
They're writing stories they think are cool, and think other people will enjoy. That's what it means to be in the entertainment industry. Nobody except Anno is trying to turn anime into a higher artform. Even Miyazaki thinks anime is about telling good stories first and foremost.
Well I think what I meant is that SAO and Mahouka and Fate (which is kind of the same thing) are hugely popular, and more and more authors are ripping them off, to the point that power fantasies are becoming more common than the traditional underdog story. Hell, Son Goku used to be an underdog throughout the original Dragon Ball and into Z, and now he has the strength of an actual god.
Difference is James Bond is on the same level as his enemies. Sure you know he has enough plot armor to survive whatever the bad guys are throwing at him, but there is still believable tension because he's still flesh and bone. Whereas I can't even think of a scenario in his universe where Tatsuya might be in danger. He got hurt? Rewind back time. He's facing off an entire army? Nuke them all.
Miyuki literally kills her Onii-sama (thereby making her the ONLY one to defeat Tatsuya) over a simple fit of jealousy.
He got killed in Monolith Code too.
There's a huge difference between Miyazaki telling good stories and Tsutomu Sato telling a story about an OP super-wizard because it would be popular. It's like film directors such as Tarantino and Nolan who make shitty accessible films, but films with some attempt at technical progress and artistic merit, versus Avengers films which are purely made to make money. There's a spectrum, I'd say, with artistic merit on one end, and shameless money-grubbing on the other, and I'd say it's disgusting to make a series about an OP autistic jackass just to make a shitload of money. I guess if the author genuinely enjoys his work, then of course it's permissible, but maybe there should be more Annos and Miyazakis (Anno and Miyazaki being in a similar boat because they combine 'good art' with 'entertainment value')
Not to mention that everyone but Tatsuya is made to look pathetic.
@Garbage Can Lid
@Garbage Can Lid
everyone but Tatsuya is made to look pathetic.
did you actually read the ln/watch the anime
Fate isn't a power fantasy, and it's not remotely comparable to SAO or Mahouka.
power fantasies are becoming more common than the traditional underdog story
Not really. It's still mostly just a thing for LNs, and there's relatively few LN adaptations every season. I mean just look at WSJ's top selling series: all traditional underdog protagonists who climb to the top.
Mahouka is blatant pandering to the lowest common denominator. It is so obvious, not just his OP magic but even him inventing flight, being more genius than the actualy boy genius, he's average looking but gets all the girls while the popular attractive guys do not, the incest pandering, the nationalism, just everything is so bad and over the top, my goodness the imouto, it is 24/7 onii-sama, just bad.
Difference is James Bond is on the same level as his enemies
Actually he's not. That's the whole point. James Bond is far, far superior to his opponents. He's better at fighting, has better weapons and gadgets, and he's more handsome. He shits all over his competition sans like 1 really tough guy he has to deal with in the climax battle.
It wouldn't be a power fantasy if he didn't completely shit all over his competition.
Please tell me who isn't made to look pathetic next to Tatsuya?
@Garbage Can Lid
The cast was very competent, as expected of the elite students. The thing was, comparing anyone with Tatsuya just makes them looks less awesome than they really are.
His shinobi teacher, for one. He kicks Tatsuya's ass in the first episode.
I'd like to think that the author of Onii-sama's saga was creating something along the lines of Atlas Shrugged. Kirito, however is just OP for self insert purposes.
Again, they look pathetic, competent or not. The only ones you can maybe argue were comparable in that aspect were Juumonji and Ichijou at Yokohama. Except then he just nukes things and nothing else can compare to that. The story unnecessarily exaggerates everything about Tatsuya.
At not magic and the teacher has no prominent role.
juumonji, imouto, maya, angie, kudou, masaki, his two cousins, etc?
Yakumo is a mage, he uses ninjutsu magic, which is an ancient style that doesn't use CADs.
Also he's not as minor as you think, he shows up later and is a pretty important guy in his own right.
Also this is beside the point since you're moving the goalposts since I gave you an example of somebody who can put Tatsuya on the ground.
At not magic
onii-sama gives him a run in 100% martial arts
sensei does use magic to beat him you dingus
Not him but Kokonoe has done shit in 17 volumes and isn't ever important.
Well I think what I meant is that SAO and Mahouka and Fate (which is kind of the same thing
Maybe if Fate were told from Rin's perspective instead of Shirou's. Shirou isn't competent at all, he's actually a failure of a magus who doesn't even know how to activate his magic circuits properly. Rin is the child prodigy character who everyone adores and praises to high heaven.
again they look pathetic
competent or not
Now you're just denying things. For you there is no middle ground. You are like Tatsuya in that aspect (but you are not even remotely like him anywhere else). Did you even watch the show?
The holocaust made every other war atrocity in WWII look pathetic in comparison. That means Nanjing, Hiroshima and Nagasaki are just mere footnotes in history.
Literally your retarded self.
All I'm saying is that James Bond is still human. He can still be imprisoned, trapped in the bad guy's death trap, and he can't just shrug off getting shot. You can still build dramatic tension with Bond. Tatsuya however makes it impossible to construct a believable story where he's in a disadvantage. Even Superman has to worry about civilian causalities but Tatsuya can just wave his hand and revive them all.
This isn't a show about middle ground. It is a show about how awesome Tatsuya and the way it achieves that is by making everyone look insignificant even though normally they would be significant. Example, the cardinal codes, George discovers one, but wait for it, Tatsuya already knows all 13 of them like it's nothing!
Yes, because Tatsuya is a wizard and Bond is just a secret agent. They operate in different universes. In Bond's reality, there are no wizards and super powerful magic doesn't exist. So he's limited to being the best at CQC and guns and so forth.
Tatsuya is just wizard James bond. His magic is better than any one else's magic, just like Bond is better at spy things than any other spy.
Bond has suffered emotionally though for lovers he lost and at times makes emotional decisions over the more rational plan. Tatsuya has no emotions, everything is nothing but smooth cool rational always the right way. He could never be wrong.
Tatsuya has emotions, he's just autistic
Much like Sheeky Forums. Maybe it hits a little too close to home.
Juumonji = no longer a threat, can baryon lance right through his Phallanx like cake
Maya = easily beats her in a duel, she always loved her dear nephew or "son" and adores him like everyone else
Miyuki = keeps a seal on him, Cocytus can supposedly stop him, wants his dick and would never fight him
Angie = loses because she's too nice for a soldier and has her panties wet for him
Minoru = incest baby who is bedridden half the time
Masaki = rival he claims isn't sure he can beat but beats at Monolith Code anyway, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because LN has never addressed whether his Rupture could him
Fumiya = trap who needs Tatsuya to help with his magic
Ayako = magic is for spying not combat, needs to be helped by Tasuya on her magic
I'm not gonna lie, all I know about Fate is that Rin's Archer is based on Shirou, I think, and I used that as basis for calling Fate a power fantasy. I guess it is certainly more accurate to call him an underdog, as it would fit the description I made of a relatively weak character becoming an OP hero over a long time of hardships. I should probably read the VN, but I really don't want to waste 40 hours reading such a thing when I can read actual novels instead. One of these days I'll download it again
Ayako = magic is for spying not combat, needs to be helped by Tasuya on her magic
he needs her help with spying though?
Alright how about this. Remember the Goldfinger laser scene where Bond has to convince the villain to not kill him. There is palpable tension there because it's up to the villain whether he lives or dies.
In Mahouka there can be no equivalent scenario because Tatsuya can brute force his way out of anything. He can beat everybody else on the planet at once and that makes for incredibly boring story telling.
this show isn't about middle ground
Again, I'm not disagreeing with you, but don't you find it ironic? Your total disregard for the supporting cast in light of Tatsuya is as laughable as Tatsuya's character.
He has his Elemental Sight, he needs no help for spying. Tatsuya helped her figure out her magic because it is a variant of his decomposition used for spying camouflage
What has the supporting cast done that Tatsuya can't already do 100 x better. What does it matter what anyone else can do when you have magical Jesus around.
Okay fine. Juumonji has more muscles than him.
what he can't do is being in several places at once. He can't fix everything, he can't protect everything, he can't run the whole damn world.
So others are needed simply because as powerful as he is he's not quite omnipotent.
Give him time.
He can literally nuke the entire planet at once and destroy the world, that's pretty omnipotent to me.
so can a black hole smashing through the solar system, doesn't mean a black hole is omnipotent
He is still a soldier, bound by the chain of command and his own clan. At best, he's a valuable tool or weapon that can be directed at enemies of the state or clan. He cannot act independently nor can he nuke on his own initiative.
Having the power to destroy the world and everyone with it, unable to do anything to stop you, makes you a god and omnipotent. Tatsuya can single handedly control everyone's fate.
Saved, that was a good chuckle.
What has the supporting cast done that Tatsuya can't already do 100 x better. What does it matter what anyone else can do when you have magical Jesus around.
Again, your complaint about Tatsuya is reasonable. But again
your black and white view is preventing you from getting absolutely any enjoyment out of whatever plot mahouka wanted to show.
What does it matter what anyone else can do when you have magical Jesus around.
A plot isn't driven by just one character, no matter how godlike they are. The fight scenes are the only scenes you can argue that only Tatsuya's presence was needed. Still not getting the point? I'm not defending Mahouka nor am I pointing out its flaws. I'm pointing out how limited you're being. Totally denying the role of the other characters is just idiotic.
Archer is literally Shirou from the future. Or more accurately is a future version of him that at least one time line produced, and now he's potentially present in all time lines via the Throne of Heroes.
That aside, he's not really all that strong compared to other beings in his weight class, so to speak.
Unless someone hurts imouto then he has no control and gives no fucks about chain of command. Besides, breaking the law is nothing for him, he doesn't even think twice, just look at Volume 15 before they invade the military base. Ichijou was the one thinking it over twice.
having the power to destroy the world
Did you even watch the show. He was compared to having the destructive capabilities of one tactical missile. Where the fuck is the black hole godlike omnipotence you are talking about? Why can't he move about freely without being hindered by the military chain of command or the influence of his clan? Again, did you even watch the show?
Okay but I am being serious, what have the other characters realistically contributed to the plot? You can kill them all off and it doesn't matter.
No, I actually read the LN instead and Volume 16 makes it pretty clear he can destroy the world in one go. His clan can't stop neither can the military and that is why he is feared and they nerfed his emotions.
Not him but,
councilor with information
High school 3 people
non-magical plebs being brainwashed
Taurus from Taurus silver
no, omnipotence means you can do anything. not just one specific task.
even full reality-warping falls short of omnipotence.
His clan can't stop neither can the military and that is why he is feared and they nerfed his emotions.
Seems like they did stop him
No, there are definite limitations to his OPness. Unfortunately, he is so badly written, every scenario he's been put in has built-in safeties he can exploit or allowed to show 'hidden abilities' he had under his sleeve all the time. Basically, he's given an Out on most traps by default.
But there are plenty of weaknesses in his character, the chain of command being the least of all. He can't Material Burst (nuke) anything without third eye to ensure he doesn't die in the process (and I mean DIE as in vaporized before he can self-reset). Miyuki is a huge liability should she ever be overwhelmed or trapped beyond his reach. He can't be everywhere at once which limits his course of actions if he has Miyuki to worry about. He can be harmed if taken by surprise. He relies on Intelligence from others in order to make decisions.
Oh and his aunt can wreck his shit if she so wishes. He hasn't challenged her openly because he knows this. So he has to play under her rules in order to even be allowed to live a semi-normal life.
There are plenty of weaknesses to exploit if only someone wrote a half-plausible scenario that wasn't tightly controlled or stacked in his favor to begin with.
Student council = Mayummy
Military = crotch powered flying suits
Counselor = boobs
Chinese boogeymen = make Scooby Doo villains look competent
3rd high = bloody Suzaku and Curious George take a shower
Imouto = 182 onii-samas
Aunty = milf
Non-magical plebs = popsicles
Taurus = guy with an fro that does some hardware
All things Tatsuya does is due to Miyuki in some way. The story revolves around how the Yotsuba hold proxy control over Tatsuya through Miyuki(as a sort of hostage) to use as a potential secret weapon against the ten master clans / position of Japan in the world? Maybe the students aren't too crucial in terms of interaction with Tatsuya, which is again due to Miyuki, except for some later arcs but the 10 master clans and the armies/factions of various countries are crucial to the plot.
His clan has already eclipsed all of the clans and military combined. The best they can do is offer their children as breeding material to join the Yotsuba themselves.
So whats the difference between this guy and Shirou
They were considered as minnow but actually most powerful magus
Nope because he can snap if precious imouto gets hurt.
then why cant he snap without sister hurt
Yes exactly, everybody would go nuclear if they knew Miyuki and Tatsuya were a part of the Yotsubas due to their power levels. Already the
Saegusas are working some plans under the shadows to have the clans band against the Yotsubas.
What our dr. manhattan lacks is an ozymandias.
I bet this will happen
Tats isn't Manhattan tier. He hasn't completely transcended humanity. Yet.
He's functionally equivalent to the muggles.
As of Volume 17 everyone already knows. Saegusa got btfo big time at the master clan meeting and were about to get kicked out for treason except old man Kudou no eyes took the blame on their behalf and they were spared. Saegusa father tried to engage Mayumi to Tatsuya to bring him into Saegusa, he got shot done by the aunt. Ichijou father changed his own clan heir so that Masaki could marry Miyuki and be in Yotsuba, not that she didn't instantly reject him of course.
He can snap if you as much as threaten her.
posting best girl
Miyuki a shit anyway
Agreed. It would be no loss if she did die.
That's mainly why Aunt Maya has 'loaned' Tats to the JSDF; as a peace-ffering, thereby reducing Tats to a Military Asset at best or at worst, a military top secret weapon.
What do you suppose happens when other govts or clans realise Tats is a Nuke-level asset? His life as it has been will cease to be. Every aspect of his life will be under strict control and if you think Miyuki is held hostage right now, wait until someone finds they can control him through her.
His life (quality thereof) depends on him being able to freely protect his imouto while exposing himself as little as possible so as not to alert others. After the Chink invasion incident, once Magicians are finally recognised as the tactical weapons they are, governments from all over race to raise and breed their own magicians, steal others and eliminate those they can't. And Tats is a prime target.
But he lacks an inhuman perspective. That's why people compare him to Jesus, who was god, but who also lived as a man and understood humanity from a human's point of view.
he should threaten her
then he is kill
youre a nigger
Koichi Saegusa already has and he wanted to take him for himself. I suspect Gouki Ichijou does too and that's the real reason he changed his heir so that his son can try to control Miyuki. Of course none of it will realistically happen. Them finding out means nothing when there's really nothing they can do to stop the Yotsuba.
God damn I love this show. Anyone who didn't enjoy mahouka doesn't know how to have fun.
Indeed. I still hold hopes for a season 2 where I can finally see Best Girl being introduced and Tatsuya finding other ridiculous ways to one-up his rivals.
Some people are just unable to enjoy things like us. Hell, I watch every series with a shit-eating grin. It doesn't mean you can't be critical, but at the same time, enjoy the ride.
She is just a plot device. Since the beginning , only Tatsuya deal with bad guys while she did nothing except beame Maya's puppet to bound him to that screwed clan.
I notice this problem with a lot of anime, and a lot of art in general. Somehow people think that high quality somehow exempts a show from having to be fun and entertaining. Meanwhile, shows that are entertaining but ridiculous get mocked, as if being entertaining wasn't as equally important as technical quality.
I particularly enjoyed the part where
the top US military magician not only completely failed to stop Onii-sama, but actually joined his harem.
Tatsuya wouldn't, but Maya would probably flip the fuck out.
She has no interest in him sadly after latest volume and congratulates Miyuki on her engagement. Not sure she will be coming back to Japan either.
Can you really fail at something you never had a chance of completing.
I mean, failing implies there was some type of an attempt with SOME chance of success.
Would she? I'm not really sure she cares much about Miyuki, she just wants her "son" to absolutely stay in Yotsuba alongside Miyuki at all costs for the sake of her revenge. If someone joins them it's probably okay, more manpower to them. I don't think Maya would care if Mayumi joined in either it's just that Koichi was trying to take her "son" away and that's a no-no.
pls no bully Mayumi
It will end in menage a trois.
How can you NOT love this suave motherfucker?
I fell in love with onii-sama after he noscoped that truck while inside the building without killing the driver
truly a benevolent god
Didn't Jewmonji already pimp both Saesuga sisters to Tatsuya and got turned down both times by Tats? I would think Mayumi would get the hint and stop tryng but I guess she's nothing more than a chess piece that can be sacrificed to Koichi's interests.
Though I'm sure Mayumi wouldn't mind the TatsD one bit.
Every fucking time, man.
"Koichi assumes, even if Tatsuya leaves Yotsuba, Tatsuya may sustain his connection with Yotsuba, but Koichi has a confidence that he can make Tatsuya to understand the importance of domestic power balance, however he was not thinking of the method. But, Koichi got outflanked by Maya."
So Koichi's masterful plan of making Tatsuya understand the importance of domestic power balance actually means I'm going to let you understand the importance of Mayumi's perfect breeding hips and perfectly balanced bosom.
A very persuasive argument.
He did. Mayumi really wants the Tats D but she's still in denial about it yet not acting that upset that her father tried to marry her to Tats.
Both her and Masaki are nothing more than objects to their parents. Their parents are banking on their good looks to seduce the Shibas. Which is just hilarious if you consider both of them are hopeless romantics and spaghetti spillers.
I downloaded what novels there were on nyaa. Seen so many spoilers in these threads, I'm not sure it's worth reading them but I miss mahouka as well.
I'm gomenasai. Wait until Volumes 15-17 get translated to read more.
Jealous crazy imouto every time.
Well, 16 is up on nyaa right now. Is 17 out in Japan?
I just want her to have a happy ending. Author better not have some asspull where she falls in love with Juumongus because hurr durr he has always been there for her. The Shippou-Honoka bs last volume actually makes me worried, expect more romance out of thin air.
It is out since 8/8
Most romances in Mahouka are muh love-at-first-sight
I admit, it would upset me greatly if they paired her up with someone Loose-End style rather than giving her a fair chance to win the TatsuyaBowl or live out the remainder of her life lusting for his dick.
They are pretty bad and poorly developed. Mayumi ending with Katsuto would also contradict everything they mentioned so far. Katsuto and Mayumi already discussed the possibility of them getting married and developing feelings, both agreed they are just friends and it's not the type of friendship to turn into love.
There's also Hanzou but he's pretty much insignificant at this point. Itsuwa still are trying to push Hirofumi, but he's less relevant that Hanzou.
Unfortunately I think she is headed for heartbreak route. But things can change for her next volume, she is going along with Tatsuya, Katsuto and Masaki without Miyuki around to interfere. She will basically have the floor to interact with Tatsuya and make a convincing move this time.
I hope this piece of garbage never gets a season 2
I was thinking I had imagined all the conservative politics stuff then I got the to Blanche arc. Damn does Tatsuya despise egalitarian faggots.
my sides hahahahahahaha
Haven't been following the series, are they on track to make another season or is it bust?
Madhouse adaptation, what do you think?
This shit only makes sense if they are in a world like matrix and tatsuya is both neo and the machines
Dropped that poor man's SAO on episode 1 and never looked back
You missed out.
Literally gary stu
Shamelessly so. It doesn't stop anyone from enjoying it however. It makes it Top Notch comedy.
look mom im posting on Sheeky Forums and blending in.
Maya doesn't give a shit about Miyuki.
Many characters could do this.
She is a much better spy than him, the best of the Yotuba even. Read volume 13
He can't use good magic, create strong barriers, every magicians have their own specialties. Tatsuya is limited to a few unique ones.
If author is solid on Tatsuya and Miyuki then he'll probably push Mayumi and Masaki together, since by then they'll have something in common.
incest route is better than the harem route for once
Post Macocky vs Robben
never gonna happen
Best girl with worst taste.
True Best Girl. She wanted the Horn.
Who would win power man vs onii sama?
I'd totally watch a version of this series where Tatsuya talks like he's jesus all the time. Would be AOTY
That's Onii-Sama to you, heretic.
Mayumi has not found out about Tatsuya's emotions right? She might be a little upset he can't ever love her back.
Even Kirito is far greater than this hack.
Why is his face so edged?
They already do, Masaki was willing to deal with her while Tatsuya wanted no liability for Mayumi getting hurt pontentially on their mission. He's not going to want to look after her next volume either looking for Gu, Katsuto and Tatsuya will probably go off on their own leaving Mayumi behind.
Remember that one time where Onii-sama cracked a decades old puzzle during his spare afternoon and made flying possible?
Saegusa pics pls.
am i the only one who finds it odd that tatsuya has a small blush mark below his left eye?
He admitted that he thought mayumi is actractive
Being this retarded
when was that again?
also, i think its odd in the sense that tatsuya is supposed to be an emotionless husk, save for when miyuki is involved. all we usually see is him with the awkward sweat on his cheek. for a blush... its just seems out of character unless there is more to it.
also, does he even blush at all in the story? i cant even recall a bit for miyuki.
I miss participating in them too, and my interest in the LNs has waned since the anime stopped airing. That and I didn't really care for the stuff with Lina, and from what I've heard, we're heading towards incest end. I liked the series because of the various side characters like the semen demon Mari and Mayumi, but they also don't play much of a role. Onii-sama nuking chinks can only keep my interest for so long.
He blushed in volume 5 I believe when they followed her to the metro. Pretty sure it was what was implied when his ears were reddening.
it just sums everything up
Why is Africa the Yamcha of the world?
from what I can tell the country underplayed him so they could use him as a secret weapon.
Both use magic, and both never use deadly magics, but Yakumo always wins and we only knew a few of his skills.
Even if Tatsuya wasn't emotionally castrated, you'd think you would care about the bullying if you had that much power and influence?
The guy already has a big company and government job under his belt he's set for life.
stuff like that makes me think that tatsuya may subconsciously love mayumi but due to his emotionless he is unable to realize it. kind of like Sherlock Holmes when he said the concept of love was lost on him he understood the biological chemistry. like ears reddening
also the anime seems to drop stuff like the sakura blossoms when he first met mayumi, classic flag stuff, ( its also mimicked in the manga, but in the book it said he had a fear of her he did not understand (liking her maybe))
then there is also her sigh of relief when tatsuya won the monolith code, and when she poked her tongue at him during the yokohama incident after learning he was a Lt. and he thought she was a 'barrel of laughs'. kind of feels like what SP did with hinata and naruto in the anime to nudge them together more.
small stuff like this made me felt it would have mayumi fall for him at some point (lo and behold) and tatsuyas emotion issues would get in the way. now there is an engagement in there too. so much drama.
probobly because of the jews keeping the muslims in there with the blacks.
Where are these pictures from? Is it the Lost Zero game?
tfw I watched this garbage thinking it was good
FEDERATIVE REPUBLIC OF BRAZIL
well mahouka is garbage but can be enjoyed by brainless selfinsert kids
Erika has a nice tomboy butt.
So I hear rumors that YP will release vol.17 in June 2025.
Is this true?
They are releasing Volume 1 in April 2016 now instead of October 2015. SAO was released about 4 volumes a year.
