What's the consensus on Rolling Girls? Unfollowable garbage or misunderstood classic?
What's the consensus on Rolling Girls? Unfollowable garbage or misunderstood...
Fun but forgettable.
I want to fuck Chiaya.
It's weird. Even though I was disappointed after the initial change in plot and was bored in parts of each episode, I found myself rooting for the show and really wanting to like it. I still have a weird warm feeling for it that I can't explain, guess it's just charming. Probably helped by the soundtrack.
Thinking man's K-On!
Vague: The Post
It was too much of a rollercoaster between highs and lows.
Not many shows have the badass kung-fu fat old Elvis as the awesome motherfucker who saves the day
I don't understand Sheeky Forums. This place is a cesspool of disgusting memes, yet Sheeky Forums hates Commie.
Ai Hibikeep it real is fucking hilarious and if you don't agree you're an unfunny piece of shit. Plus the Japs fucking love play on words and puns like Americans love burgers.
I thought it was going to be a bunch of ridiculous comedic fights like the first episode and it turned into "A bunch of normal people on a road trip: the anime"
one of them was an ayylien though.
Normal people aren't ayyliens or friends with an ayylien. They were special all along.
That was kind of the whole point. It followed side characters. Rests, no Bests.
And it was really drab and boring because of that unfortunately
I enjoyed the setting but the plot and characters (minus most Bests) were wholly uninteresting.
Holy living fuck. Are you me? I began to like it for who knows what reasons. By the time Episode 8 arrived, I was thankful for not having dropped it. Still, Funi's subs were almost complete garbage and I only manage to enjoy the show after watching it a few months after, with sort-of decent subs.
Also, the motherfucking music.
Owaranai Uta>Stones>1000 no Violin>ED>>>>OP
Only if you plan to take responsibility.
After the first couple episodes it seemed really unique, mostly because of the colorful fights and everything. The rest of the show was still enjoyable, but it just didn't really keep up in my opinion. As someone said though, it's fun, and certainly worth a watch, but it's not going to be known as anywhere close to a classic.
It was pure tripe. Had to drop it after the retarded first episode.
It was very special. Had a great artstyle, great soundtrack, great ideas but i feel like they didn't have the time they wanted to execute everything properly. It was still very enjoyable and fun to watch, but i can't help but to think about what it could have been.
Episode 1 was great and then it got more and more boring.
Not only was it funny, it was pretty damn creative. It's dumb, but still fun, which matches the show to an extent.
Pretty good, anime of the season it was in
It's pretty much FLCL: Kawaii Girl Road Trip edition
That is to say, both were LOL SO RANDUMB XD shows that was carried entirely by it's great soundtrack and how utterly fucking ballers and insane it gets at times.
Also, in scenes where animation was good, goddamn, animation was good.
I miss the show. I'm hoping for something similar for the next seasons.
I wonder who this poster could be.
A few people called it AOTS when it was airing too so it's not surprising to see that now.
The main characters needed more depth to them. it honestly felt like there was still so much more adventure to be had. I at least wanted to see one of the main girls have a Best moment by pure accident. I think the show could have used another 5 or so episodes at least, just for character development. An OVA would be nice too. makes me sad there isn't any more of those crazy characters, painted backgrounds, great animation and damn catchy soundtrack.
Pretty fun show, but first episode gave a lot of people the wrong impression that its going to be the Kill la Kill of anime, which is why they hated on the show later on.
Winter was kinda a lame season.
I honestly only remember 4 or 5 shows.
Junketsu no Maria
and Yuri Kuma.
How exactly would something be the Kill la Kill of anime?
I loved it, having all those colors and that soundtrack and cute designs made what was basically a SoL on bikes a lot more interesting. And then there were the amazing episodes finishing each arc, as well. The only bad things in my opinion were the complete lack of budgets in half of the last episode, and bai bai end (although this is just personal opinion, I wish an asspull could have kept the group together).
The reason why it gets so much hate is because too many people picked it up after the colorful battles in the first two episodes, only to get disappointed by their own expectations.
I thought it was fun.
Also Cthune never.
Greatest two episodes OVA.
I've been hibikeeping it real all these times, how about you anons?
no lisa lisa
dropped so hard
I think you mean RINDA RINDA
Not a big fan of Blue Hearts, so I think it's mediocre.
The dub is better
